How Property Taxes Fund Public Services

Amendment 3 has become one of the most controversial measures on the November ballot. The proposal would make major cuts to homestead property taxes. While the measure does not cut funding for the public education system, it does have some people asking the question: why do they have to pay taxes for schools if they do not have children that are attending?
