Revolutionizing Mitral Valve Surgery

A new, minimally invasive surgery was approved by the FDA in December of 2025. The Naples Comprehensive Health Rooney Heart Institute became the first hospital in Florida to perform it. WGCU's Teddy Byrne spoke with the Naples resident Robert Dickemper, who was the first patient to undergo the groundbreaking procedure at NCH.
